Element tagged values can get out of sync with the defined set of tagged values from the meta-model. This can happen if an element is created without using one of the methods explained in the Creating New Elements section. Another way is if the meta-model itself is updated with additional tagged values missing from previously created elements. To sync the tagged values, right click on an element type in the toolbox and select Synchronize Stereotypes. This will add tagged values that are missing from any elements with the given stereotype. This procedure does not remove existing tagged values that have been eliminated from the meta-model. That would have to be done element by element in the tagged value pane or in bulk via a SQL update script.
