Business Needs capture the high level requirements of the business and are further described by Use Cases, are created by dragging the Business Need element from the (EA)<sup>2</sup> Business Architecture toolbox onto the diagram. Business Needs may be nested, drilling down into additional detail. To do so, make the Business Need composite by right clicking on it to bring up the context menu, click on Advanced and then Make Composite.

Use Cases
Use Cases satisfy business needs and address the automation of business processes by scoping the responsibilities of the IT systems and enumerating the steps that must be taken by those systems.
