(EA)2 User's Guide
Composite Views
These views build on the others to expose the relationships among the model elements and to package components into a single view.
Application Component
Selects the components that comprise a BusinessApp.
BusinessSoftwareElements
Selects the user defined elements that determine what software types are to be included when selecting enterprise level software. See (EA)2 configurable elements. -------You can determine which of the Application Architecture tools should be included in Business Sofware reports. For example, you may decide that you only want to have Business Systems and Business Apps included. Or, you may want include lower level items such as Business Apps, Presentations, Work Sessions, and Services. These are set up in the Architectural Resources | EA2 Configurations | Business Software Elements package. This view selects those definitions.
BusinessSoftware
Selects all of the components whose type is among the BusinessSoftwareElements defined in the (EA)2 configuration (see the previous item). Any elements who were built from an included toolbox element but whose stereotype was subsequently changed will be selected.
CI_ByCapability
Selects configuration items along with the capability or capabilities the supply.
ComponentExposedInterfaces
Selects the ProvidedInterfaces and RequiredInterfaces of a component like a Business App, Work Session or DB_Schema.
DeploymentStatus
Assembles various tagged values related to a configuration item's deployment, namely Actual Start Date, Actual End Date, Planned Start Date, Planned End Date, and IsApproved. It also determines the Deployment Status based on the four dates. The DeploymentStatus view is used by the various configuration item views.
EnterpriseCI
Selects configuration items considered to be at the enterprise level. Examples include Business Systems, Business Apps, IT Apps, Client Apps, EDB Schemas, Servers, etc.
EnterpriseCI_WithCapabilities
Selects EnterpriseCI's along with the capabilities they provide.
EnterpriseCIElements
Selects the user defined elements that determine what configuration types are to be included when selecting enterprise level configuration items. See (EA)2 configurable elements. -------For example, you may want to include Business Systems, Business Apps, IT Apps, O/S's, App Servers, and DBMS's in the list. The Architectural Resources | EA2 Configurations | Business Software Elements package contains the EA2 types that are to be included as IT Software.
EnterpriseCI
Selects all of the elements whose type is among the EnterpriseSoftwareElements defined in the (EA)2 configuration (see the previous item). Any elements who were built from an included toolbox element but whose stereotype was subsequently changed will be selected.
EnterpriseSoftwareElements
Selects the user defined elements that determine what software types are to be included when selecting enterprise level software. See (EA)2 configurable elements. -------For example, you may want to include Business Systems, Business Apps, IT Apps, O/S's, App Servers, and DBMS's in the list. The Architectural Resources | EA2 Configurations | Business Software Elements package contains the EA2 types that are to be included as IT Software.
EnterpriseSoftware
Selects all of the elements whose type is among the EnterpriseSoftwareElements defined in the (EA)2 configuration (see the previous item). Any elements who were built from an included toolbox element but whose stereotype was subsequently changed will be selected.
ITSoftwareElements
Selects the user defined elements that determine what software types are to be included when selecting enterprise level software. See (EA)2 configurable elements. -------IT Software is represented by two different types of model elements. Software like programming languages, integration software, and other IT applications have a stereotype of <<EA2 IT App>> and are modeled as UML components. Execution environments, e.g. operating systems, application servers, browsers, and database management systems have their own EA2 stereotypes and are modeled as UML nodes. The Architectural Resources | EA2 Configurations | IT Software Elements package contains the EA2 types that are to be included as IT Software.
ITSoftware
Selects all of the elements whose type is among the ITSoftwareElements defined in the (EA)2 configuration (see the previous item). Any elements who were built from an included toolbox element but whose stereotype was subsequently changed will be selected.
