Importing from XML
Import elements and their supporting diagrams from XML files. This is a very complete method for creating not just an element, but the packages and diagrams that go with it. The XML files supplied with (EA)2 are listed below.
Business App Package.xml
Business Process Package.xml
Business System Package.xml
DB Schema Package.xml
To import one of these XML files, right click on the appropriate package, e.g. an Applications & Software Systems package if importing a Business System, and then select Import/Export | Import Package from XMI file… Browse to the OAD Consulting/EA2 folder under your documents folder, and select the XML file to import. You should check Strip GUID's to ensure you do not get any conflicts with your existing model elements. The Sparx EA help documentation explains how you can export your own package structures for import.
